Judge Magnum is here:

So
today I got my Taurus Judge Magnum with the new
3" chamber. Wow I'm so excited to fire this thing. My first
Taurus Judge was the one with 2.5"chamber. My favorite shot
shell to fire in this gun is the 2.5" 000 Buck Super X Winchester
round which spits out three .36 caliber pellets in one shot. Someone
said this in a forum " it feels so good to fire 2 shots BOOM
BOOM and then see 6 holes in the target" and that is so true.
However I wanted more holes in my target and it seems Taurus has
answered my prayers with this new model: 4510TKR-3SS MAG version
of the Tarus Judge which allows you now to shoot the 3" 000
Buck shot shell which spits out five .36 caliber pellets. So now
my BOOM, BOOM produces 10 holes in the target instead of 6...you
gotta love it. lol (evil laugh)
The
new 3" Chamber Judge came out in 2008 after Taurus kept receiving
more request to make the Judge a more powerful self defense weapon.
I was on a quest to find this gun for almost a month before I
finally got it. No one in my area seemed to had it in stock or
they didn't know the difference between the 2.5" chamber
Judge or the 3" one. This was so annoying to me because I
live in Miami, Florida the home base of Taurus International and
yet I could not find their top selling gun. I had bought a 3"
bird shot shell to use to check the chamber of the Taurus Judges
I had come across to make sure I was buying the magnum version.
I
would search the Taurus
Dealer System and Google to locate dealers and then check
by phone to see who said they had the 3" chamber gun in stock
but when I got there and had them try to fit 3" bird shot
shell in the chamber it would not fit. In my head I would be like:
" Mr dealer sir, you have the 2.5" chambered model here,
please get your sh*t together before you tell people to drive
over here and you don't have the correct gun in stock ".
This madness went on for a month until I came across a little
gun store called Public Pawn & Jewelry Inc. in Davie Florida
(954) 843 -0324. They didn't have it the first time around but
Bruce the owner told me to check back in like a week he should
be getting some in stock. One week later I went by and sure enough
it was there. I wanted the stainless steel version but at the
time they only had the blued version available so I got it.
This
gun is pretty huge and it's seems very heavy too. The Barrel is
3" inches long but when you add a 3" chamber in the
length equation you are at about 6" inches already not counting
the grip and hammer . The image to the left shows the spec sheet
for the gun its a size monster but it also gives you monster power
shooting both the very powerful 3" 000 Buckshot .410 shell
or the .45 colt bullet (a proven man stopper). It comes with a
nice fiber optic orange front sight that makes target acquisition
a synch and the Taurus's patented Ribber grip absorbs most of
the recoil I have been told but we will see once I test fire this
baby. The weapon itself looks very polished and well made. Judge
is etched on the barrel real big for those who want to second
guess the name of your gun. Because of it's size and aggressive
styling the mare presence of the Taurus Judge will strike fear
in your would be attacker.
Well
that's it for now I 'am now trying to figure out some conceal
carry options for this gun. I will post my findings on the conceal
carry and shooting once I'm done feel free to rate this post and
leave your comments.
